What do you get when you mix a sunny, laid-back Southern California vibe with a fresh new running event? Welcome to the Irvine Half Marathon.

Tasked with creating all branding elements, from the logo mark and website to race day materials, this campaign took inspiration from its locale in more ways than one. The logo is a direct nod to the many bird-of-paradise flowers runners found as they completed the course’s route, and the fresh and bright color palette was inspired by Irvine’s proximity to the sun, surf, and sand. When pairing these elements back to grounded and aspirational running imagery, the result was a strong and inspiring visual language that hit its stride.
